Matthew 1:23

Emmanuel means, "God with us", "Deus esta conosco" in Portuguese. On June 14, 2006, a team from Emmanuel Baptist Church will embark upon Acre, Brazil, to share Jesus to one of the last unreached areas of the country. Bruce, Ben, Joe, Theresa, Andy and Justin along with the IMB missionary, Aaron will be teaching Brazilians in Tarauca and Feijo how to lead group Bible studies in their homes. Rhonda and Emily will be staying Rio Branco with Aaron's wife Tiffany and their children and going into the English speaking schools and having conversation (sharing Jesus) with teenages and adults.

Our team prayer requests are:
Travel into the country
Effective translators that travel into the interior with the team
Aaron, Tiffany and their children
Our families that we leave in the states
Hearts open to the word of God
People that want to open their homes for a home study (church) especially in Feijo because we have no contact with a Baptist in this city
Health for the team and missionaries and also for the family members at home
Safety
